The Dosimetrist plays a vital role in the radiation oncology team, utilizing their expertise to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the radiation oncologist.
Key Responsibilities- Design patient radiation treatment plans using 3D treatment planning computers, ensuring optimal beam geometry that delivers radiation to the tumor site while sparing critical normal structures.
- Generate and transfer technical documentation and plan parameters into the treatment preparation site and treatment delivery unit to ensure accurate radiation treatment delivery.
- Contour critical normal structures with extreme accuracy using knowledge of 3D CT anatomy.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 Year of Experience
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)
