Job Summary

As a Certified Surgical Technician with Healthcare Staffing Plus, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your expertise in preparing sterile operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and stocking supplies will be essential in providing a safe and efficient environment for patients and medical professionals.

Responsibilities

Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries
Sterilize equipment and instruments
Stock adequate supplies for surgery
Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites
Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies
Track surgical supplies
Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures

Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of Certified Surgical Tech experience
Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program
Active unencumbered Surgical Tech Indiana state license
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
Participates in relevant continuing education programs
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
