About the Position:
Are you dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students? We are looking for motivated, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) math tutors to provide crucial support to middle school math educators. This role offers a unique chance to engage directly with students, fostering their confidence and proficiency in mathematics.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will collaborate closely with educators and school administrators, playing an essential role in delivering tailored assistance to small groups of learners. Your contributions will help ensure that students receive a comprehensive, culturally relevant education.
- Work Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 AM to 2:50 PM.
- Program Duration: September through April (excluding breaks and school events).
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience: Previous experience in tutoring or teaching middle school mathematics is advantageous.
- Bilingual Requirement: Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential for providing academic support.
- Collaborative Spirit: A willingness to work alongside educators and students to promote academic achievement.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities are crucial for effective teamwork.
- Availability: Must be available during specified hours on designated days.
- Commitment: A dedication to educational equity and social justice, particularly for underrepresented and low-income students.
