The Staff Technical Product Manager leverages technical expertise to outline and oversee the development of products in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role encompasses technical research, product architecture, definition, marketing, and both pre and post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Acquaintance with the latest data center technologies and Supermicro's embedded offerings.
- Collaborate with product managers and system engineers to create technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotions.
- Actively engage in the exploration and research of new technologies and products to propose innovative Proof of Concepts.
- Partner with Sales, FAE, and customers to deliver networking solutions and technical insights.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in system engineering for embedded hardware products.
- Familiarity with server architecture (including PCIe, SATA, and SAS protocols) and OS concepts; knowledge in distributed computing is advantageous.
- Proficient in configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Redhat Enterprise Linux.
- Basic experience in scripting languages (PowerShell, Linux Shell, C/C++, JavaScript) is highly desirable.
- Understanding of server hardware and architectures, including PCI Express and OOB management.
- Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of server systems, PC systems, and computer peripherals is highly sought after.
- Strong initiative and ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to devise new strategies and solutions.
- Solid understanding of market trends and customer requirements.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
