Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Specialist at Scout Healthcare Staffing, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and integrity of laboratory tests, while maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and prioritize laboratory tests, ensuring timely completion and accurate results.
• Maintain quality control measures, including running standards and controls, verifying equipment function, and calibrating equipment as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource, participating in staff training, answering questions, and staying up-to-date with professional publications and networks.
• Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions, alerting supervisory personnel, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and staff.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
