Job Summary:

The University of Miami/UHealth has an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem EEG Technician to operate specialized equipment measuring and recording electrical activity of the brain, peripheral nervous system, and spinal cord.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform EEG tests as requested by physicians.
  • Review patient records and interview patients to obtain additional information.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by attaching monitoring devices and explaining procedures.
  • Set up and calibrate necessary equipment.
  • Monitor patient status and record observations during testing.
  • Analyze test data to ensure appropriate data is collected.
  • Report test results to physicians for further analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure room cleanliness, and institute quality control procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification and Licensing:

Related certification desired.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
