About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Avera McKennan Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms during patient transports and collect diagnostic data as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist nursing personnel in providing patient care in their assigned area.
  • Provide strong people, customer service, and critical thinking skills to serve as a liaison between healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • On-the-job training provided.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course preferred.
  • Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
Work Schedule

Our Patient Care Technicians work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $23.00 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and advancement.
