Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts into sub-assemblies and conduct final assembly of military-grade weapon systems.
  • Perform minor adjustments and changeovers as necessary.
  • Set up and operate various machinery including hydraulic presses and paint booths.
  • Utilize chemical cleaners and oils to maintain weapon components.
  • Adhere to established guidelines, military specifications, and operational instructions.
  • Disassemble and reassemble tested weapon systems to ensure functionality.
  • Monitor the interchangeability of components, maintaining strict tolerances and fits.
  • Assist in training new assemblers and enhancing skills within the department.
  • Conduct rework and final inspections to meet internal and governmental standards.
  • Employ precision tools and equipment for assembly tasks.
  • Perform fitting and rework tasks, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of weapon data, inventory, and serial numbers.
  • Comply with security protocols associated with weapon handling.
  • Engage in physical tasks involving lifting and moving items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Follow safety and housekeeping procedures diligently.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary for data entry and verification.
  • A minimum of 18 months of relevant experience is preferred.
