Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Mount Carmel Health System. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Decontaminate and sterilize medical equipment and supplies to ensure they are safe for patient use.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
  • Inspect and test medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and efficient processing of medical equipment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Industry certifications preferred.
