Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Join HealthPRO Heritage, a leading provider of rehabilitation services, as a Speech Language Pathologist. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team in Summit, MS.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, with 30-35 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. We also offer the option to work part-time, with 29 hours or less per week, if preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess patients to determine their communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct and document thorough assessments of patients to diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs based on initial evaluations and containing achievable functional goals.
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines, and maintain timely and accurate departmental records.
  • Enter progress notes in patient records following each treatment session and revise treatment programs as needed.
  • Document the course of treatment in a clear and concise discharge summary.
  • Orient patients to program services and treatment procedures and inform them of any potential risks during procedures.
  • Work with nursing staff, patients, and families to maximize patients' use of functional abilities.
  • Instruct patients and families on therapeutic procedures to be continued at home following discharge.
  • Assist in the referral process when patients require additional services following discharge and maintain current knowledge of community resources.
  • Attend and participate in rehabilitation team conferences regarding patient progress, problems, or needs.
  • Attend and participate in other department/facility meetings as required.
  • Access continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical currency and participate in in-service education sessions.
  • Participate in the quality improvement process by responding to results of medical record audits, patient satisfaction surveys, safety activities, and regulations.
  • Promote the programs and services of HealthPRO Heritage through formal and informal interactions with the community.
  • Act in compliance with HealthPRO Heritage's regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required to provide quality care to patients.
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
  • Must maintain valid state Speech Language Pathology licensure.
