Job Description: We are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Clovis, New Mexico. As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs, and assess students' skills and determine their educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student.
  • Adapt Teaching Methods: Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote academic achievement.
  • Assess Student Skills: Evaluate students' strengths and weaknesses to inform instruction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students' success and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep up-to-date records of students' progress, including grades, test scores, and behavioral data.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social-emotional growth and academic achievement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Earned a degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Teaching License: Possess a valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience Working with Students with Disabilities: Have at least 1+ years of experience working with students with special needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and students.
