The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Palliative Care & Rehabilitation Medicine team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Clinical Patient Care: As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive symptom assessments, develop treatment plans with physicians, and collect patient data for accurate documentation in medical records.
  • Continuity of Care: Utilize organizational skills to ensure seamless care coordination across the continuum, collaborating with other disciplines through planning, education, and service coordination.
  • Patient Education: Provide support and education to patients and families, emphasizing comfort and quality of life promotion, as well as educating clinicians on palliative care best practices.
  • Liaison Services: Serve as a liaison between departments and healthcare teams, utilizing effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clinical Experience: Master's degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice, or equivalent experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Authorization: Written authorization from the Texas Board of Nursing to function as an APRN, with related authorization consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
  • Certifications: PA certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, or Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, or PALS certification.
