About the Role

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our stores, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the breakroom and all restrooms, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning up spills, and emptying trash.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment and fixtures.
  • Assist with the rotation and cleaning of dairy shelves, and the cleaning of glass dairy and frozen food doors.
  • Sweep the parking lot with designated equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Shovel and salt sidewalks as needed, and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a high level of productivity and maintain a quality of performance that meets company standards.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements and have a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time, frequent reaching and lifting, and ability to handle cleaning materials/substances.
Preferred Requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and conditions of the internal and external store and property.
  • Maintain cleanliness and conditions of equipment used in the performance of this job function.
