Job Summary:

A/R Specialist plays a vital role in the financial operations of Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Key responsibilities include participating in age-specific care and interaction, identifying and processing accounts ready for collection, investigating and resolving A/R ledger problems, and answering billing inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate in age-specific care and interaction
2. Identify and process accounts ready for collection
3. Investigate and resolve A/R ledger problems
4. Answer billing inquiries
5. Process error corrections
6. Review and process credit balances
7. Identify, process, and monitor liens
8. Identify, process, and monitor charity care program
9. Identify, process, and monitor payroll deductions
10. Special projects
11. Assist in preparation of month-end reports
12. Provide training and support to new employees and co-workers
13. Perform general filing duties
14. Participate in weekly staff meetings
15. Follow personnel guidelines

Requirements:

2 years general office experience
10-key by touch
Typing 50 wpm
1 year experience with computer software programs
2 years medical billing experience with emphasis on all areas of billing
High School diploma with preferred courses in business, math, or accounting
