About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Engineer to join our team at Meijer. As a key member of our Identity Governance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Identity Governance services and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Technical Product Owner and lead architect for Identity Governance platform
  • Responsible for taking technical decisions, hands-on with the tool, and well-versed with industry standards related to Identity Management
  • Communicate, coordinate, and partner with various business partners related to Identity Management and Governance requirements, issues, new capabilities, etc.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on identity governance best practices, processes, and technologies
  • Design, develop, implement, and integrate Identity Governance administration (IGA) tool with other systems
  • Administer and manage digital identity and access across all systems, applications, files, and data
  • Investigate issues and problems in the environment and be accountable for Identity Governance Operations
  • Proactively monitor, control, and analyze access patterns, user behavior, infrastructure performance, and security events in events to mitigate risks related to Identity Access Management (IAM)
  • Implement RBAC, Certification, Attestation, Audit Reports, Role standardization
  • Lead or aid in locating the necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends
  • Ensure a stable environment for enterprise systems
  • Keep aware of system problems that occur in the corporate network, identifying and solving problems as rapidly as possible
  • Provide critical and essential services to locations enterprise-wide
  • Lead or assist in the implementation of test plans, including functionality, integrity, and stress testing
  • Review assigned service requests daily and follow up and provide status updates to end users
  • Identify frequently, opportunities for improving service efficiency and effectiveness
  • Attend seminars and other educational opportunities, seek out insight and on-the-job training from other senior engineers and other internal and external resources
  • Act as an internal consultant to other ITS groups on applicable technologies
  • Perform activities in accordance with standards, guidelines, and processes
  • Understand help desk policies/procedures and act as a liaison to Help Desk staff
  • Establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of and concern for users' business needs
  • Mentor junior team members on same or other teams as appropriate
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or other related discipline
  • 7+ years of related experience in IAM environments developing, implementing, and supporting similar technologies and services
  • Strong institutional identity governance with the ability to establish and implement various tools and practices
  • Strong knowledge with Identity Governance tools like One Identity, SailPoint
  • Working knowledge with various connected systems like ServiceNow, On Prem AD, AD Connect, Azure Entra ID, Workday
  • Experience with implementing predictable access model and behavior-based role provisioning
  • Understanding of general Identity, Access Management, and IT Security principles
  • Functional knowledge of Active Directory Users and Groups
  • Basic SQL & PowerShell skills
  • Excellent at problem-solving and follow-up
  • Certifications related to One Identity, SailPoint, Microsoft Active Directory, SANS, CISSP are a plus
  • Significant experience with small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience in multi-platform environments
