Job Summary:

The Senior Application Engineer is the primary technical resource for the outside sales team and is responsible for designing and engineering electronic controls solutions to meet customer system requirements.

This role works closely with outside sales and customers to develop and refine system specifications, organize design concepts, and prepare proposals to support outside sales.

The Senior Application Engineer may also act as a mentor to lower-level Application Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and convey customer requirements internally and to factory partners.
  • Train customers and outside sales teams on product technologies.
  • Provide technical support to outside sales team and customers in real-time.
  • Maintain expertise on technical products from factory partners.
  • Prepare a scope of work for a solution for the customer.
  • Size and design solutions for applications, including pneumatic, motion control, six-axis robots, and vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five to seven years of related experience.
  • Proficient use of CAD software and Microsoft Office suite software.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel.

Physical Demands:

Travels up to 40% of the time.
