Position Overview

Summary

The Automotive Lubrication Specialist is tasked with efficiently lubricating vehicles while ensuring thoroughness, working closely with the Production Foreman to fulfill responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct all automotive lubrication services, including oil changes and fluid top-offs.
  • Perform a comprehensive inspection of customer vehicles (e.g., battery, lights, tires) and refer necessary repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
  • Operate and maintain all lubrication machinery.
  • Receive repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman and proceed to the service lift.
  • Lubricate the entire vehicle while identifying additional repair needs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the customer's vehicle.
  • Verify that all equipment, particularly lifts, is functioning correctly.
  • Utilize materials and supplies appropriately, avoiding excess.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and promptly report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a technician's assistant, apprentice technician, or lube technician in an automotive dealership or service facility.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems, components, and maintenance practices, including oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Experience with automotive tools and equipment, such as wrenches and oil filter wrenches, to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow technicians, service advisors, and customers, along with strong communication skills to clearly explain maintenance needs and recommendations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment compliance checks, including drug testing and background verification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications, such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification, or completion of a formal automotive technician training program.
