Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to lead our global research and development credit studies. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth credit studies, interviewing and documenting eligible credits, and preparing calculations and applicable tax return forms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare quarterly and annual global R&D credit calculations for use in estimating taxes and income tax provisions.
- Conduct informational interviews to gather data and insights.
- Investigate opportunities to expand R&D credit claims and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Respond to tax notices and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with audit support and documentation, including IDR requests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on the shared network to facilitate information sharing with other team members.
- Develop and mentor junior staff or interns to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of US federal and state R&D credit, income tax compliance, and US federal income tax accounting.
- Knowledge of foreign R&D credit is a plus.
- Experience with automation tools and software is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of internal personnel and external contacts.
