Position Overview

Role: Customer Service Team Leader

Compensation: Up to $19 - $23/hr with tips*
*Based on experience

Work Schedule: Interested in a 4-day workweek while still achieving full-time hours? This schedule is available as an optional benefit for those interested, consisting of four swing shifts starting between 10 am and Noon each day, lasting for 9 hours and 45 minutes with a lunch break.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare, mix, and cook various ingredients using recipes as guidance and your palate for quality assurance.
  • Gain experience across different stations within the DIG kitchen, including but not limited to garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge, and delivery/packout.
  • Engage with guests about current menu items, seasonal offerings, and ingredients, enhancing their experience with a delightful scratch-made meal.
  • Support the team during both peak and off-peak service times, contributing wherever necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and remain active in the kitchen for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Assist in maintaining high health and safety standards by adhering to DIG's food safety protocols.
  • Exhibit professional maturity and uphold DIG's policies against discrimination and harassment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A passion for quality food and a desire to learn culinary techniques.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to execute tasks efficiently.
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to perform other physical tasks such as seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, bending, and moving intermittently during work hours, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • A collaborative mindset, valuing the contributions of your colleagues and supporting the restaurant's success.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

ABOUT DIG:

At DIG, we are dedicated to building a better food system by sourcing, preparing, and serving delicious meals every day. Over the past nine years, we have expanded to more than 30 fast-casual DIG restaurants, launched our first full-service establishment, and partnered with numerous farms, including our own DIG Acres.

We prioritize building genuine relationships with farmers, focusing on independent growers, first-timers, women, immigrants, LGBTQ individuals, and people of color. These partnerships enable us to access the finest ingredients year-round and adapt our menu based on seasonal availability.

Each DIG restaurant is led by a chef, and all food is prepared on-site. We do not utilize microwaves, can openers, or freezers; instead, we have a dedicated culinary team cooking fresh ingredients throughout the day. This commitment involves training a new generation of chefs and cooks, many of whom are entering the restaurant industry for the first time.
