About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in unlocking the secrets held by complex data sets and turning them into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data mining, statistics, and graph algorithms, with experience in using R, Perl, Python, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis. You will also have knowledge of an object-oriented language, including Java, C++, C#, or Python, and be able to leverage expertise in data gathering and analytical work.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to obtain a Secret clearance and is scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced data analytics solutions to drive business insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
  • Develop and maintain complex data models and algorithms to support business decisions
  • Provide data visualization and reporting to support business stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data science and analytics
  • Strong background in machine learning, data mining, statistics, and graph algorithms
  • Experience in using R, Perl, Python, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented language, including Java, C++, C#, or Python
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
