About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Foreperson to join our team in Seymour, CT. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will be responsible for managing crews in the field and ensuring that environmental projects and emergency responses are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety is the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects associated with tank cleaning, plant shut down, spill cleanup, and emergency response.
  • Supervision: Supervise confined space entries and emergency response operations.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that the proper inspections and calibrations have been performed on life-monitoring equipment before taking them on-site.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate and verify that the appropriate equipment is available and on-site to complete the project.
  • Reporting: Accurately complete and submit daily work sheets for proper billing to customers.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor Environmental Technicians.
  • Safety Performance: Manage safety performance and reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in a leadership/crew lead role required.
  • Skills: Minimum 2+ years of Environmental Field, Construction, or related field required. Emergency response experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: Confined Space Entry knowledge is an asset.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and clean 3 years MVR required.
  • Availability: Ability and willingness to travel and to work on a rotating on-call basis.
