Job Summary:

The Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of processing equipment according to assigned specifications.
  • Communicate regularly with production personnel and supervisors to ensure that production goals are met.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Perform visual inspections and complete documentation to ensure defect-free work.
  • Load materials into machines and monitor the flow of materials through the machine.
  • Perform minor package change-overs on equipment as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure that all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run.
  • Perform visual inspections of boxes to ensure proper box/tray usage and graphics are acceptable.
  • Ensure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, cases, and graphics are acceptable.
  • Ensure closures and lids are properly applied.
  • Verify flavor and size according to schedule.
  • Report any major defects to the Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Monitor the machine while running and check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly.
  • Fill glue pots as necessary.
  • Clear the machine of all products at the end of each run and at the end of the shift.
  • Follow work rules at all times and adhere to GMP compliance.
  • Report any quality issues to the Supervisor, QA Technician, and/or Manager.
  • Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks.
  • Keep the work area clean at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School/General Education Diploma required.
  • Prior bottling/canning experience a plus.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Pass a background, physical, and drug test.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties.
