Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intake and Certification Specialist to join our team at the Community Renewal Team, Inc. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Agency's mission to prepare our community to meet life's challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency cases within 24 hours of customer inquiry, providing timely and effective support to those in need.
  • Conduct customer intake and reviews customer applications and accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring service eligibility as outlined in program rules and regulations.
  • Schedule and reschedule customer intake appointments as needed, providing quality customer service and ensuring a smooth experience for our clients.
  • Refers customers to internal and external resources in support of comprehensive attention to customer need, helping individuals and families access the services and support they require.
  • Process energy applications using DSS procedural instructions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our operations.
  • Prepare program reports in accordance with program requirements and agency needs, providing valuable insights and data to inform our decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that benefits our clients and the wider community.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest best practices and industry trends to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and growth of the Community Renewal Team, Inc.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in human services or a related field from an accredited two-year college or university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people of varying racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel, with a preference for agency vehicles.
