Clarke University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Security Officer to join our Campus Safety and Security team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular security rounds to monitor campus facilities and respond to any security incidents
  • Monitor security radio and respond to emergency calls
  • Enforce parking regulations and ensure compliance with university policies
  • Assist police and fire departments with on-campus incidents
  • Write security reports and maintain accurate records
  • Perform general light maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and smoke detector batteries
  • Respond to service calls and provide assistance as needed

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of procedures involved in building and grounds security work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Direct experience in security and CPR, AED, first aid, or first responder certification preferred

Working Conditions

This is a part-time position that requires extensive walking in and outdoors in all weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends.
