Advanced Practice Provider- Primary Care Specialist

The Pathways Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem aims to enhance the capacity of healthcare providers and staff to recognize and respond to the needs of patients impacted by domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence.

In partnership with the IL Department of Human Services, Pathways will establish a trauma-informed, multi-disciplinary primary care clinic for survivors of gender-based violence and their children.

This is a temporary grant-funded position. If financial funding for this role is discontinued at any time or ceases beyond the grant period, the position will no longer remain active.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide Comprehensive Care:
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnoses
Prescribe treatments under established protocols for acute and chronic illnesses and diseases

Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams:
Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants
Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experiences

Required Qualifications:
Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required
Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
SANE/SAFE Certification required; training provided for those not certified
