Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.

• Provide technical support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems
• Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds
• Repackage bulk medications
• Receive and store incoming supplies
• Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient, and health professionals

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required
• Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required

Pharmacy technician experience preferred. Responsibilities include restocking automated dispensing cabinets (e.g. Pyxis), answering phone calls, handling controlled substances, sterile compounding (hazardous and non-hazardous), stocking, some inventory responsibilities, and other tasks as assigned
