Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Process prescriptions, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers and patients to resolve issues and answer questions.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
• Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Collect and handle cash as required, and register all related sales on assigned cash registers.
• Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
