Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at CGH Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians to deliver exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care for office patients, adhering to the guidelines of the Illinois Nursing Act and under the direction of the office physician or registered nurse.
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments, gather data, and document patient information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address patient concerns, and provide education on medication, treatment, and self-care.
  • Perform basic nursing care, including vital sign collection, wound care, and medication administration, under the direction of the physician or registered nurse.
  • Assign ICD-10 codes and monitor CPT coding to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current Illinois Practical Nursing Licensure required.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment at CGH.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and instruments is strongly preferred.
  • Prior knowledge in drawing blood is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
