Global Elite Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Aviation Security Officer to join our team at LAX International Airport. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of travelers, aircraft, and airport facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide access control and security services to aircraft and airport facilities
- Conduct thorough searches of aircraft and baggage to prevent security breaches
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats
- Collaborate with airport authorities and government agencies to ensure compliance with security regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers and airport staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
- Valid State Security License required; Global Elite Group offers training to obtain a license
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check and Security Threat Assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Working Conditions
The Aviation Security Officer will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, chemical, and other contaminants. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Language Skills
English proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking)
Physical/Environmental Requirements
The position requires the ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines possibly on uneven terrain.
