Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Loan Processor to join our team at Guild Mortgage Company. As a Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in the mortgage lending process, ensuring that loans are processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Processing: Process residential mortgage loans, achieving production and quality metrics.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise between loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, and funding teams to ensure seamless loan processing.
  • Document Review and Verification: Review and verify loan files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with underwriting and investor guidelines.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may delay loan closing timelines, communicating with stakeholders as needed.
  • Documentation and Order Management: Order and review third-party documentation, including credit checks, title reports, appraisals, and tax returns.
  • Data Entry and System Updates: Update and verify data input into our system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with Company standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses or technical training in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: One or more years of experience in loan processing or assisting in loan processing.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in internal data entry systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF/Document Retention programs.
