Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in providing top-notch patient care. Your responsibilities will include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with medical procedures. You will also be responsible for scheduling appointments, performing secretarial tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Interview patients and record information on their charts
• Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
• Assist with medical procedures, such as phlebotomy and processing labs
• Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Schedule appointments and perform secretarial tasks
• Maintain accurate records and update patient information
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or general education degree
• Current Medical Assistant Certification
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• One-Three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
