We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at VCA Far Country Animal Hospital in Palmer, Alaska. As a key member of our hospital team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing a positive experience for our clients.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for our patients
- Prepare the surgical suite and assist with surgical procedures
- Fill prescriptions and perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and other medical procedures as needed
- Assist with patient recovery and provide compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
- 3 years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician
- Exceptional communication and technical skills
- Familiarity with AAHA requirements and Fear Free Certification a plus
