Position Title: Business Systems Analyst

Overview

The Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our institution's information systems, particularly focusing on the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions student information system. Reporting directly to the Director of ERP Functional Support and Analysis, this position collaborates closely with various academic and administrative units to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the Student Records module.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with academic departments and administrative units to facilitate effective communication and assess technical needs.
  • Support operational requirements for various departments, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of the module, addressing technical needs as they arise.
  • Conduct data analysis, execute queries, and set up automation for efficient file processing.
  • Triage and troubleshoot technical issues within the student information system and related platforms.
  • Provide support for local reporting requirements and assist users as needed.
  • Work with campus units to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Assist in implementing new technical enhancements and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Manage and validate data integrity, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Position Details

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. The role is classified as non-exempt under FLSA regulations. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility based on operational needs.

Department Overview

The Information Technology Division is essential to the university's mission, providing core technology services that support teaching, research, and community engagement. The ERP Systems unit specifically focuses on managing critical enterprise-level systems, including the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • At least one year of experience in technical business and systems analysis.
  • Experience with ERP applications, particularly in higher education or regulated sectors.
  • Familiarity with user support processes and the development of workflows.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft CMS or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with PSQuery or other database languages for data extraction.
  • Understanding of higher education enrollment processes and systems.
