Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Collect assessment data and document it according to department guidelines.
  • Communicate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care activities and workflow.
  • Implement the plan of care and update it as necessary.
  • Provide patient and family education and advocate for their rights.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals certification.
  • California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification.
  • Vocational Nurse IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the respective department.

Essential Functions:

  • Assessment data collection and documentation.
  • Communication and coordination with healthcare team members.
  • Implementation of the plan of care.
  • Patient and family education and advocacy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient clinical skills and nursing judgment.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
