The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and productive operations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment and vehicles, including inspections, lubrications, and repairs.
- Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Quality Control: Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets quality standards and is completed in a timely manner.
- Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical trade school certificate or degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position requiring knowledge and application of OSHA Haz Com, OSHA Lock Out Tag Out, and all OSHA Fire Protection regulations.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Excel and word processing applications; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
