About the Role

MKD Electric is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Apprentice to join our team. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and relay schematics to ensure accurate and safe electrical installations.
  • Perform point-to-point checks and pre-functional and functional testing to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly.
  • Develop energization plans and communicate with teams to schedule necessary support for testing and commissioning of all systems and equipment.
  • Ensure the performance of all field-testing equipment is completed accurately and safely.
Requirements
  • Must be confident, a strong troubleshooter, and effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
  • Must be able to demonstrate SAFE electrical troubleshooting skills using basic and advanced test equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook applications.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated electrical, HVAC, and mechanical background.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors.
