Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Evergreen Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Special Services department, you will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy to students with diverse needs.

Job Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of the supervising Certified Occupational Therapist and the Director of Special Services to provide occupational therapy to students. This includes designing, managing, and maintaining adaptive equipment, as well as managing student records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the supervising Certified Occupational Therapist in providing occupational therapy to students.
  • Design, manage, and maintain adaptive equipment.
  • Manage student records.
  • Attend and participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education to ensure continued professional competence.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Successful completion of the certification exam as required by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Washington State COTA license.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
