Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at ExperTox Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing biological matrices for the qualitative and quantitative identification of drugs, chemicals, and toxins.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct complex testing on patient/donor samples using scientific techniques and instrumentation.
- Interpret toxicological requests and perform critical assessments.
- Prepare test solutions, calibrators/controls, and reagents for laboratory personnel.
- Monitor the status and progress of work and review completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed for all testing procedures.
- Perform quality control procedures and maintain records of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Use mathematical and statistical techniques to evaluate analytical techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science, or a Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field.
They will also possess professional knowledge of advanced medical technology theories, practices, and methodologies, as well as the ability to teach testing methodologies to others.
The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working ConditionsThe Laboratory Analyst will work in a laboratory setting, with regular exposure to moderate risks of discomfort, including contagious disease, caustic reagents, noxious fumes, and flammable liquids.
They will be required to use protective clothing and gear, including laboratory coats, fume hoods, safety goggles, aprons, gloves, and face shields.
