Key Responsibilities- Conduct Policy Research: Conduct in-depth research on fiscal risk management and provide recommendations for policy and practice changes to support state policymakers.
- Provide Technical Assistance: Work closely with state policymakers to provide technical assistance and support in developing effective fiscal risk management strategies.
- Develop Outreach Materials: Develop and disseminate outreach materials to stakeholders, including state policymakers, federal officials, and other key stakeholders.
- Build Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including state policymakers, federal officials, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor Key Activities: Monitor key activities of federal and state governments, academia, and advocacy groups related to fiscal risk management.
- Plan and Execute Events: Plan, organize, and execute stakeholder meetings, conferences, and other events to support fiscal risk management efforts.
- Strong Research and Analytical Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills, including synthesizing large sets of information and identifying key themes.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Skilled at informing and influencing internal and external audiences through written and oral communications.
- Politically Astute: Politically astute and able to understand the needs and motivations of different individuals and institutions.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, generally four years of applicable experience.
- Familiarity with Fiscal Risk Management: Familiarity with relevant research and policy topics and knowledge of state and federal government.
- Experience Working with Government: Experience working with or in federal and/or state government is highly preferred.
This position requires moderate domestic travel to meetings and conferences. Salary range: $79,900 USD - $89,300 USD.
