Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Reimbursement and Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Reimbursement Specialist, you will work closely with physicians and hospital staff to obtain release of complete, accurate, and compliant documentation for reimbursement. You will also analyze all clinical and financial information from various internal and external sources.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to obtain release of complete, accurate, and compliant documentation for reimbursement.
  • Analyze all clinical and financial information from various internal and external sources.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing requests electronically and manually.
  • Perform quality checks on all work to assure accuracy of patient name, date of service, confidentiality, and proper invoicing.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year recent experience in both professional and facility release of information, medical records, or other related experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with contacting and follow-up with insurance carriers on denials, file reconsideration requests, formal appeals, and negotiations (preferred).
  • Proficiency in using computer software and technology, data entry, and above-average typing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office, including Excel.
  • Familiarity with laboratory billing, Xifin, Salesforce, merchant solutions, payer portals, and national as well as regional payers throughout the country (a plus).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $42,200 - $68,490, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
