Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Clinical Reimbursement Specialist - Floor Nurse to join our team at Vi at Palo Alto. In this role, you will be responsible for executing minimum data set assessments and coordinating care planning for residents, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

This position combines clinical nursing responsibilities with critical administrative tasks to optimize reimbursement and improve resident outcomes. As a Senior Clinical Reimbursement Specialist - Floor Nurse, you will work closely with the DON, CRM (where applicable), and various disciplines to assist in the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), and all associated processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments
  • Manage resident assessment process and tracking of Medicare/Managed Care/Medicaid case mix documents
  • Coordinate care planning processes under the direction of the DON or CRM (where applicable)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current State Registered Nurse license in the state where practicing
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent knowledge of case-mix and Federal Medicare PPS process
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees
