Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing additional educational support to students enrolled in the Cornerstone program. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cornerstone program facilitator to deliver targeted support to students in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with students in small groups or individually to address specific areas of need.
  • Assist with grade monitoring and attendance of students in the Cornerstone Program.
  • Meet with families of new enrollees to facilitate enrollment and school placement.
  • Support the program facilitator with projects and other tasks.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 48 hours of college credit or the ability to pass the Title I assessment test (if the school building is classified as Title I).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the performance of light work, involving occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and frequent sitting, walking, and standing. The position also requires visual acuity, frequent hearing and talking, and some crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and fine finger dexterity.
