We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at VP Management in Princeton, West Virginia. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical structures and equipment of our hotel property are well-maintained and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairing plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, identifying and addressing any issues or potential hazards.
- Respond to guest and staff requests for maintenance services in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain all hotel equipment and machinery, troubleshooting and repairing or replacing as necessary.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment for guests and employees.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work and supplies used.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition at all times.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the maintenance budget, making cost-effective recommendations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required; trade school or certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel or building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
