Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Central Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support services to our patients, families, and staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient interviews and documenting vital signs, medical history, and medication lists.
- Verifying patient information, completing intake processes, and entering data into electronic health records.
- Performing front office duties such as greeting patients, answering phones, and providing administrative support.
- Collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory testing, including blood, urine, stool, and sputum samples.
- Assisting healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Preparing charts, administering medications, and dismissing patients after clinic visits.
- Participating in orientation of new employees and attending mandatory meetings.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in an administrative position.
- Diploma or certificate from a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent military healthcare experience.
- CURRENT Health Care Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
This role will be based in a busy healthcare setting, requiring excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
