Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled Tax Intern to join our team. As a Tax Intern, you will be responsible for providing support to our accounting team in preparing federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C-corporations, trusts, and individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C-corporations, trusts, and individuals.
  • Prepare LIFO calculations for all dealerships.
  • Prepare fixed asset schedules for depreciation for all dealerships.
  • Prepare year-end tax calculations such as computation of demo wages.
  • Prepare responses to state and federal tax notices on behalf of our dealerships.
  • Assist in gathering information for tax audits.
  • Research federal, state, and local tax issues.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as experience with tax preparation software.
