Position Overview:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients by executing the following key responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts a range of transactions, exercising discretion regarding the legitimacy of presented transactions, including cash handling, negotiable instruments, and transfers.
  • Processes checks for cashing, deposits, and verifies endorsements, validity, and fund availability.
  • Maintains and reconciles cash drawer in accordance with established protocols.
  • Refers suspicious transactions to the appropriate authority.
  • Assists clients in person and via phone with account inquiries, research, and maintenance.
  • Handles installment loan payments and issues receipts.
  • Processes mail deposits, night drop, and ATM deposits under dual control.
  • Manages stop and hold orders.
  • Sells and oversees bank products such as cashier's checks, gift cards, and money orders.
  • Processes customer requests including address changes, check orders, and PIN modifications.
  • Facilitates the opening and maintenance of new accounts.
  • Ensures proper identification and documentation for new account setups.
  • Keeps accurate monthly records of new accounts opened and closed.
  • Handles all functions related to safe deposit boxes, including access and maintenance.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of company services and products, guiding clients in selecting the most suitable options.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Promotes company services and cross-sells products effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Balances and maintains ATM.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Previous experience in banking is preferred, with a strong background in cash handling.

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data, including rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and address problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in word processing software and general computer knowledge is essential.
