We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Aircraft Assembly team. As a key member of our DSJ Global team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing engineering process, collaborating with production management, and driving process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Process Improvement: Collaborate with production management to identify and implement process enhancements, including leveled scheduling, efficient layout design, and effective shop floor controls.
- Analysis and Optimization: Conduct analysis of production operations to enhance efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules, and ensure alignment across teams to minimize process variations.
- Problem-Solving and Leadership: Lead problem-solving initiatives, interface with vendors for equipment purchasing, and serve as a liaison between design and manufacturing departments.
- Team Supervision: Directly supervise the Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Team, ensuring high-performance levels across the team.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Avionics, or Manufacturing Engineering, with seven years of engineering experience, preferably in aircraft manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Unigraphics II, Microsoft Project, and Office suite programs.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, including budgeting, project management, and process improvement.
- Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with machine operators, middle and upper management, and vendors.
