Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall tooling management organization.
  • Optimize tool, tool design and CNC program control.
  • Ensure that Tool Design Standards are developed and maintained.
  • Develop and implement the tool recycle and maintenance process.
  • Create, direct, and promote process, procedure, and action plans.
  • Attend engineering and/or management meetings and provide necessary input and guidance.
  • Interface with vendors and Purchasing department in selection of tools and various materials.
  • Review project status with management as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Tooling Manager will be responsible for supervision, training and assisting employees.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, and a minimum of 10 years tooling, tool design experience, with at least five years as supervisor in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form.
