About the Role

The Endoscopy GI Nurse PRN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, endoscopic placements, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. This individual will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth and efficient procedure execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized patient care, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs throughout the procedure.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to coordinate room preparation, instrument setup, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, medical history, and procedure outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in nursing principles, experience working in an operating room setting, and excellent communication skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting is preferred. Additionally, RN licensure, BCLS certification, and ACLS (as required by the facility) are mandatory.
