Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care, while also performing various clinical and administrative tasks. This includes:
- Conducting initial patient assessments and documenting findings
- Implementing physicians' orders and documenting nursing interventions
- Administering medications and documenting medication regimes
- Identifying and implementing infection control processes
- Performing radiological and lab procedures (if certified)
- Providing radiation protection and x-ray reports to physicians
- Documenting QA controls and maintenance on x-ray equipment
- Documenting lab and radiology results
- Answering telephones and assisting patients
- Filing patient charts and recording daily visits and charges
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Active registry or certification as a Medical Assistant
- Current BLS certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- One to two years of related experience (preferably in a lab or radiology setting)
We prefer candidates with:
- Preferred licensure or certifications
- Preferred educational requirements
- Preferred experience in a lab or radiology setting
This role requires:
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Occasional carrying of up to 20 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, and pushing/pulling
- Frequent use of reading, writing, reasoning, talking, and keyboarding skills
